I think they must be 2 separate wells.
The L20/50 "Nong Bua #1 discovered hydrocarbons in sandstone reservoirs in the 1980s"
The Nong Bua in CVN's report...
"encountered lost circulation in volcanics but were never tested due to the lack of
hydrocarbon shows observed while drilling"
So one is in sandstone and showed oil whereas the other is in volcanics and had no oil shows.
Still wouldn't surprise me to see them fast track the L20/50 redrill well (whatever it's called.)
According to the Hartleys report they could use the proceeds to fund the Aeromag & seismic surveys - which are due to start soon are they not?
