Was going to ask the same thing of anyone that might have some more in-depth knowledge on how long these would take to complete? Article was from 13 July, you'd hope that by now they would have started the survey. Sentiment from the n/e Chairman saying that it has huge potential you'd think they wouldn't waste too much time. That being said, a quick search on MT surveying saying you would generally analyse a spot overnight, then depending on how detailed you want it to be, moving anywhere from only 200m away to a few kms before doing it again.. Hopefully they would cover a broader area then narrow in on where they think the best prospect is, hopefully.
