If indeed GXY is heavily shorted, a sudden announcement of special dividend to shareholders will cheer up share price which in turn will really burn the short sellers. I think its share price needs cheering up because it does not react to good news, and at times good news even makes it fall (like now). Else, a predatory take over bid at low price may raise its ugly head and there'll be more losers than winners.
