Hi milesg, you are also forgetting our increasing population due to immigration. Times have changed and they are reflected in the prices. We can't even house the immigrants that are coming over now. There is a real housing shortage in WA I know because it takes me a few hours to rent out one of my properties.
Statistics and graphs are fine but just like stock charts they can't show the changes occurring they can just look at the past. Think outside the square if you want to make money in real estate there is always a good buying opportunity you just need to know what to look for - take it from someone that knows.
