Looking at the yearly activity pattern, I noticed that we’re pretty well at the end of the sale cycle.... then I finally waved the white flag myself & sold 2,000 units for some bills I have to pay.
Then the price went up 3 cents from where I sold. It’s good to see the universe working correctly- now that we’ve hung on through the miserable middle of the year which for Oz sees tax time & the general downturn in both general sentiment as well as business activity that follows that financial year’s end, ( June 30 ), it’s on to spring & the time of year when things in Oz heat up.
1 year closer to production. Our neighbour, the biggest neighbour in the world, BHP, is still making the right noises.
Nickel & cobalt are at a higher price, ( even with the recent weakness which is perfectly normal when we consider seasonal strength/weakness in commodity pricing ), than when we hit $2.20.
We have not caved in & taken on a, for me quite worrisome, Beijing backed entity or gotten ourselves in to debt, Japan has announced their intent to get in to cobalt in a big way.
Battery producers are talking a tripling or their cobalt requirement & we have met each milestone in a timely manner- something which from decades of personal experience I can say with 100% certainty the Japanese in particular love.
Our management shows more faith in the company than any I can see around us- our peer’s investors would be over the moon if their own management held what ours does & we aren’t relying on any unproven & costly tech for extraction.
We have an excellent joint venture etc negotiation guide/partner.
We still have more of what everyone wants.
Of course lastly we have also been quite conservative in saying what we have while calculating our CAPEX properly- we will surprise people with good things. Our peers on the other hand..... I really can’t say that. I think some will soon find that they’ve shot thier bullets out of necessity, too soon & have used bigger cartridges than their rifle can actually handle/justify.
ARL is still not a stock for the weak kneed & cheers to all those weak holders who have sold over the last 3 months. ( apologies for that long list above, it looks very unattractive from an aesthetic point of view but hey- with so many good points for the long term we can’t help but write such a long list ).
All is well.
