I thought that refugee who climbed that building to rescue that child was very brave. A hero. And as far as I am aware he has not been implicated in a crime so he ought to be a good person to have around. Not undermining the laws of his host country.
But I get your point about him leaving his family behind.... more for economic reasons then.
If this case however had happened in Australia... a Syrian refugee taken in and given a scholarship and was then found to be part of an organised people smuggling ring in combination with left wing types, I would hope that they were arrested and sent to Christmas island until their case came up in court.. Then jail. Then deportation. No doubt some in such circumstances some would be calling for their immediate release and the simultaneous jailing of Dutton.. a minister with discretionary powers. But that is par for the course.
