Not much new here but still highlights the positives of this announcement and the stock at the moment.

"The apparent deal by an un-named major foreign mining company (could be Anglo American group as they have recently taken stakes in a few Brazilian iron ore plays and have ambitious plans to get to 150Mtpa of Iron ore exports by 2017) to pay about US $450m for SRK's stake in its Peruvian iron ore projects certainly sounds good for SRK and if it eventuates, as seems reasonably likely, it values SRK at about $5.50 per share - well above current market prices. As we have seen with some of the recent deals and announcements like this (MIS, AED) the market appliesa severe discount to the theoretical valuation of it as it believes there is a lot of uncertainty about such deals, yet history tells us most of them do get completed and the market corrects over time to the higher valuations"
