The Libs had the correct idea ( well the destabilising muck slingers who put their own agendas and biases before their job descriptions) the polls on preferred PM were pretty good but numbers for the Coalition were dreadful, something had to be done!!!!
It’s not to late, 8/9 months to
go to the election.
Bill and his team could easily shoot themselves in the foot, in that time frame
Another very very long shot possibility is that we all go through another arduous Liberal Party implosion ( ie sanity and self preservation kicks in) and the Party begs the girl from WA to come back into the fold and guide them to ( probably not an election win but not the decimation it appears to be fast approaching) the next election.
PS We all know that some Pollies shine best, in opposition and Bill is one of these.

Tony always looks better, sounds better and probably feels better in opposition ( he’s less likely to stuff up when he only has to say No than when he has to explain and deliver a policy).
