Good analysis there. I think the thing to remember also is that a doctor with a stethoscope would listen to your chest and be correct approx 70% of the time, which is not a great number and no doctor will diagnose you with pnuemonia without first getting an x-ray and bloods.
The fact is that lots of infants die from pnuemonia for a number of reasons.
1. No access to a good doctor ( for whatever reason....cost of medical care, proximity etc)
2. Without medical insurance lots of folks will not qualify for the costs of covering of x-rays etc. So they will not be tested. Think poorer countries.
3. This app will actually diagnose pnuemonia without additional testing such as x-rays etc.
Has to be a win win doesnt it?
