I'm in constant contact with close friends of mine in banking, some of whom are currently worried for their jobs, particularly those in the RM area. Saying that lending has tightened is an understatement. It is legitimately drying up out there, APRA is standing over them like a primary school teacher. Credit departments are shutting the door in the face of everyone including existing customers, and when threatened with leaving for another bank, the customers have been told to ''go''. I wish I was making this up.
