Tallmantim ComSec is T + 1. Now what I mean by that is if you don't sell within 24 hours they coming looking for the money i.e. in 3 days time you have to pay whether you have sold them or not since. Which means even if you have a settlement coming or sold the shares as the money won't be thru in time they want the cash.
I am not saying your are wrong as I know what you mean I do the same thing but you obviously only buy what you can afford worst case. But there are day traders who don't they buy intending to sell win or lose and get caught out and burned all the time. They can't afford to own the shares unlike you.
