Beijing Jiutian MSI Technology Development Co., Ltd. was established in 2015, focusing on the design and innovation of microsatellite missions. It hopes to drive the new revolution of commercial aerospace model through “scientific innovation + internet thinking”.
According to reports, Jiutian MSI is the first company in China to realize the design, development and operation of low-orbit small satellites and form a commercial closed-loop. It has the core technology of developing 100 kilograms of commercial low-cost small satellites and constellation networking and satellite communication systems.
The company's main business includes "satellite Internet of Things" and "Aerospace and Space + STEAM Education" two major sections:
Satellite Internet of Things: Provides real-time satellite communication services for all kinds of assets, such as logistics and heavy machinery distributed around the world, without land network coverage (sea, land and air), through the global low-orbit communication small satellite constellation network. .
At the end of 2021, the company plans to complete a low-orbit IoT constellation consisting of 72 small satellites, with a single-star hourly collection of up to 2 million. On this basis, the construction of an Internet constellation consisting of 800 low-orbit small satellites will be promoted.
In June of this year, nanosatellite communication service provider SAS (Sky and Space Global Ltd) signed a memorandum of understanding with Jiutian MSI to test and study how to integrate the SAS network into the Internet of Things products of Jiutian MSI. The two sides will also jointly explore the possibility of jointly providing IoT and other narrowband communication services in China, and cooperate to expand the business of SAS in Greater China.
