I disagree with your statement: 'The credit card is dead'. There is $52.6B outstanding on Credit/Charge cards. In my opinion it is unlikely that Afterpay (and other BNPL'ers) would replace all of that. They still have a lot of work to do to kill off the CC, for example, currently I cannot use
Afterpay to pay for my weekly expenses (ie lunch, groceries etc), as well as many regular monthly/quarterly expenses.
