Syd, at this stage there's no amount of skin that he can put into the game that'll get me to trust him again - because from where I'm standing this has become less about trust than competence. I don't believe he's up to the job. I don't believe he really knows what he's doing. I don't believe that this company will survive with him at the helm.
That's the price of being the top dog. That big salary comes with a big unspoken caveat - you get it right or you're out. The higher up the management ladder you climb, the fewer Mulligans you get.
