Several years ago myself and several co-workers started loading up on the stock. To date, I have never sold. The latest news came from a friend that works on tugs that push ships on the channel. About a month ago, magnolia reps were on the tugs checking out their operation. This gave me a little hope when almost all hope was gone due to the slow pace of this management team. Like others, it’s to close to FID date that was promised to pull out now. So no matter what, I’m in it till the end.
As far as the slow pace of the management team, like others before me have mentioned, other LNG projects are catching us. Driftwood LNG (TELL) and Venture Global LNG ( Calcasieu Pass) are both expecting FID’s during first few months of 2019. Both have stated that construction will start first part of 2019 with Driftwood to begin operation in 2023 and Venture 2022. These are just 2 project of the more than a dozen that are being propose in this area. Both of these project are literally just miles away from Magnolia’s green field. With all this being said, IMO we do not have a leg up on any other projects. That ship has sailed. It is all on the shoulders of the management team.
