    SG & SS

Flow rates vary from gasfield to gasfield & are dependent on the formation pressure. Put it simply if there was no pressure u wouldnt get much of a flow to surface. A figure of 50psi would give a poor flowrate or no gas to surface & would b considered uneconomic to the operator from a commercial perspective. Now if the pressure is very high (say over 1000 psi) then obviously the rate's gonna b higher.

On Songo-Songo island, high pressure is prevalent, which means the gas flows to surface under normal conditions instead of requiring fracturing or acidizing (done when the formn is referred to as tight). We also know that on a well SS-10 (drilled last year) 1900 psi was recorded to give a rate of 44 mmcfd (stablised after 24 hour period).

I'd say if on KN-1, 1200psi or so was noted before shutting the well & walking away mainly from a safety reason, then you have a very good flowrate (18MMCFD+ for sure). I just needed a rough fig as KEY havent mentioned this anywhere & in the London Presentation by Aminex the flare photo wasnt shown as it wasn't clear enough (too smoky!!!).

Of course for the exact number we all will have to wait later this month or by May. You will notice the price creep up in anticipation of this. Here onwards we all wait for an ann'mnt.

    Cheers
