moondong, as much as I hate having to agree with you, I do on this occasion. I have bought up the matter with groups or authorities involved in the foresty schemes/scams and it turns at that they are all based on a period of 100 years. After that noboy has any responsibility to ensure the carbon supposedly locked uo in the timber actually stays there. It's ridiculous, but not for those who are going to take the money I imagine. My point about the livestock, is that whilst herd numbers are growing, as they are, there is more carbon being locked up as the stock grow then is being released from those that are slaughtered or die. Obviously when herd numbers begin to decline, then the reverse applies. Eat more meat and save the world.
