bottletop, this is the link to the NASA announcement made in March 2004. Perhaps you can reciprocate with links to sites where Algore or the IPCC acknowledge the new findings (new in 2004) and have updated their projections and forecasts accordingly.
Even with my limited understanding of the weather and what drives the climate, it was always obvious that the more understanding we gain, the more complex it becomes. Thus when Algore presented his rather simplistic argument it immediately appeared too simplistic to be true. But then that was it's strength, it was simple enough for the masses to understand and accept. Those people whose livelihood depends on the weather and have spent a lifetime searching the skies for answers as to what the weather may bring them may have been more sceptical, knowing that it is never that simple.
