To be fair now is probably the best time for people to be buying assets. The fact that gold sentiment is in the gutter and people are expecting sub $1,050 again like a couple years ago tells me it's probably not going to happen. Esh made a ballsy call a week or two ago that he thought the bottom was in when we hit that $1,160 swing low. If the dollar has topped which it might of as it seems hard pressed to push through 96 I am inclined to agree with him.
Anyways the point is I think producers have gotten smarter. Now is a much better time to be making M&A moves than when POG bounces to $1,300+ and everyone starts talking about $1,400, $1,800 or whatever the bull calls are again.
If POG does fall WAF will obviously probably get cheaper, but I see more risk to the upside especially as the move closer to production. WAF's AISC means this is a goer under pretty much any circumstances. I don't see POG lower than now in 18 months personally.
Of course this is all an opinion and I could well be wrong!
