Greed is such that expecting justice too often is like expecting a charcoal-grey matter to be not given a tick in the white box.... it doesn't happen because a clever Devil's advocate knows the letter of the law and forgets conveniently about the spirit of the law.... and their own motives step them over to line up for the well-paid position, too often not in the interest of the common good. However, that aside, know lots of good lawyers who know they have a job to do, are really good people, so the lawmakers need to make the boundaries and create a more level playing field. Can't do much about the big players with the wind always at their back, the wind that often doesn't smell so good. Need to firmly put in those goalposts, too, so we've got a bit of a chance of kicking a goal.
