A poorly performing share price isn’t grounds for legal action. You would have to uncover grossly false or misleading information in the prospectus and even then, the cost of legal action would likely outweigh what you may get back.

You really have to do your own research on the management team behind the company you are investing in. Even just putting their names in a google search, there was plenty available here.
