Points, thanks for that info and that does explain some of the reason for the small SP margin between these two stocks relative to the number of shares on issue.

However, I can only assume that the current financial difficulties may only partly explain this discrepancy as, in the past, the SP of CNP has FAR outsripped the SP of CER. The change in the potential viabilty of these two entities must have changed dramatically in this period. Or maybe shareholders are pricing in a large issue of shares in CNP to keep it afloat but assuming this will NOT be required for CER. Or CNP has issued a relatively number of shares in this 52 week period.
