WEB had their "window of opportunity" when they were one of the first to offer internet travel bookings. For whatever reason their business failed to fire. Not that management didn't do their best to spoof up the stock price - never ending stream of boasts about how their business was growing etc etc.
These days they have a multitude of competitors. Not the least of which is Zuji - owned by the airlines themselves.
As a matter of interest, I just did a quick pricing comparison on what WEB and Zuji could find for a flight MEL-BKK-MEL for 2 adults and 2 rug-rats.
Flights for same day there and back, both via SIN but Zuji with better connecting times, came up with Zuji finding a fare $190 cheaper than WEB (all charges included).
If this is an example of the best that WEB's new pricing engine can deliver, then their days are def. numbered (IMHO)
