Hi Bungy,
One big seller, maybe reluctant, is along the lines of how I was reading it from the figures. However, I think it's possible that the price controlling was in our favour, not against.
Reason being, if someone had several million shares to quit in a hurry, and assuming that a buyer could not be arranged off-market, it would make sense to me to not only fill the buys, but to keep a good volume on offer at a higher price. The trail of small sells below the larger sell orders allowed the price to be bidded back up in small steps after the big sells. The small bids provided support for the same purpose.
IF the 'one forced seller' scenario is close to the mark, I'm sure there'd be far more devastating ways of introducing a very large sell order onto a small cap share than what we've seen recently. I'd also expect a solid price recovery over the next weeks.
Hard to read a story into shifting numbers isn't it? My guess only!
