"The two interventions overseen by Mr Dutton came from au pairs who had breached their tourist visa, which does not permit work. But their cases highlight the complexity and uncertainty of the rules surrounding this important but little reported sector. Many of the 10,000 foreign au pairs who come to Australia each year are in danger of breaching the work limits on their working holiday visa, Taylor reports."
