If it was case of FOMO, then rational thinking is not a factor, but if your assumption that Search is a business analyst then you would also assume Search would have made his (or her) decision to buy or sell based on information assumed to be accurate and complete and not misleading.
In that case, you are correct that Search should lodge a report and complaint with ASX/ASIC. Hopefully they won't take 6 years to investigate!
