We have discussed the applications in medical technology in past years. Notable among the applications that TZ management has discussed includes SMA used in stents. Insert in one shape, apply a signal to form the stent to open up the affected vessel.

Think of SMA in aircraft applications outside the fastener market. Applications that are obvious include shape changes on trailing edges of wings that reduce drag in flight. They would also reduce vibration and noise resulting in reduced fuel use and increased airframe life. With TZ management having organised the necessary production facilities (without spending their own funds) there is a clear opportunity to expand into SMA production to open up new applications and to secure their ongoing supplies. This would have to be funded through the IPO placements but the future for this company is way beyond what most shareholders think. Once you add in the software control aspects, the locks, the sensors and various SMA applications you start to get the picture.
