One thing I will say though is this, the US are trying to find ways around Silex, I understand that on a number of levels, it is worth reiterating what cjliebs said, if both technologies work then laser enrichment is the winner, Personally I don't believe that Silex has much to lose in the end, if the US go for another laser enrichment process then so be it? but I think it may end up costing them a few years?
So lets look at who is left after the US, and perhaps someone not interested in Uranium enrichment for weapons or military use, I can think of one very good contender right away and I believe they are considered allies now? JAPAN! the Silex technology would fit extremely well into their thinking I believe? a non military use , but one that could help them no end in what they need to do with their waste?

Even if CRISLA does work out for the US? it really doesn't mean that the Silex laser enrichment is worth any less does it?
