Given it”s a meagre 3 million shares it’s hardly the work of a big player, so rather than look for a conspiracy under every stone let’s look at possible innocent explanations.

My first suspect would be CFD suppliers, who will presumably short the underlying stock per their clients CFD shorts. Some of these clients might be traders, probably just a few retail clients given the size of the shorting, but ejust as likely these clients are long term holders just not wanting to sell their long term holding for tax reasons, but still locking in their gains.

Far too many conspiracy theories on hot copper. Perhaps it’s easier than objectively looking at the facts first, looking for explanations second and making the conclusions last.
