Annual report small print describes short-term leasing details for space on Huron Campus, Endicott:



20,000 sq ft of space eh?
Sounds tiny.

So looking back, no real surprise that embarrassingly small 'facility', on a monthly lease in June, wasn't described or photographed for 'gigafactory progress' ann. in same month .That announcement coyly showed single external photo of delivery truck parked near Huron Logistics loading bays.


Some wonder what 20,000 sq ft of space provides to the battery start-up besides facility to park trucks?


And worth reflecting on disparity between sheer size of NY facility indicated in original 15GWh announcement May 2017 and current state of affairs:


For illustration, here's a 60 acre section of Huron Campus, including truck parking area from company release.


Sadly, photo of Huron iM3NY 'facility' also conspicuous by it's absence in subsequent announcement in Aug 2018. Now late Sept and still no sign of the 60 acre building with max. lease size dropping to 200,000 sq ft or 4.5 acres. Though given the downscale to 1 Gwh of cell production by mid 2020, modest premises no real surprise.

Sounds like the hype is over for Huron.
