"There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998"
This is a good example of the mis-information that is being bandied around.
As I have said before in one of the other GW thread, it appears on the surface that temperatures since 1998 have decreased. However, this is only because 1998 was an extremely hot year! If one disregards 1998, or simply looks at the trend rather than cherry-picking a time period that begins with an exceptionally hot year, one can see that global temperatures kept increasing beyond 1998. Find a graph of global temps and check it out yourself.
