personally when I first heard of this about Gatto chasing the money my impression was that Gatto's ego was getting the better of him and that he was full off it.

Maybe if there was a Skase type character hiding in some country somewhere and this was how Gatto and his fellow thugs were going after, then maybe he might have some success.

But chasing money trails (assuming there is one) through various countries, banks and front shell companies he has no hope.
