The initial drilling by Barrick and Noranda back in 1999/2000/2001 that discovered the Antas North deposit did not hit significant intervals of hi-grade cu. Indeed in 2006, there was a non-JORC, non-NI 43-101, historical resource estimate for Antas North of 5.07Mt @ 0.8% cu, before AVB got their hands on the tenement and drilled the higher grades.

To put this into perspective, with the subsequent known AVB results, below is the historical drilling results from Antas North, as well as a basic diagramatic understanding of the orebody as it stood back in the early days. Note, there appears to be some discrepancies as between the grades in the results tables and the diagrams below.
