Maybe it's in my character or an age thing but I don't expect the constant updates and reassurance from management that some posters demand. They may not be as good with their shareholder relations as many demand but I'm invested in a junior miner and between the two I'd rather they stuck to what I believe they are better at doing.... getting a large mining project up and running.
I'd rather they got on with the job and developed the company for the greater good of all shareholders and if a few disgruntled ones can't handle it and fall by the wayside ....
Interesting view. Pretty much everything I've read - literature on investing in junior mining co's - combined with my own experience of playing and getting burnt at this end of the market is the complete opposite - communication and management is paramount when you're invested in something that generates no income whatsoever.
You say that you believe management are better at getting a large mining project up and running. The MD has no experience whatsoever with this, he's an exploration geologist on what many experienced investors would call a lifestyle salary. Getting a major mining project off the ground - even just working on the QA side! - requires a lot of communication, above and beyond simple investor relations. It's not only part of their corporate governance obligations but it's a very reasonable expectation to see the company getting things right from the ground up - if they can't get an ASX announcements right then what do the documents that we don't get to see look like?
I don't see how someone who believes both the resource, the commodity and the underlying technology in TIVAN should be told to sell up and move on just because they'd like to see management up their game. Why strive for mediocrity?
