I know from doing business in Singapore, that little things like ensuring you read the business card that someone gives to you while they watch is important. You do not put it straight in your pocket - that is disrespectful and could cost you a deal.

Every country has their methods of making business work. If you are going to do business in that country, you need to do so following their rules. If you fail to follow their rules or worse you try to do business just as you would in Australia you will get burnt.

Look at Millenium Diamonds. CVI is getting hold of diamond leases at their expense because they came in as a "superior" player over the locals. Didn't last long!
