dont fuss folks - too many simple people simply look at what their favorite media says and use that to develop their argument - rather than consider all issues put before them and maybe analyse things factual and assumed.
for mine, this latest licence decision was a great opportunity to do what should have been done initially, that is to provide licences ONLY to non-profit organisations, clubs etc - ie profit not going to individuals or entities whose profits end up with individuals. as has been said, give the profits to those who have a stake in their local community rather than bruce matheson, woolworths, fosters, lion nathan and whoever else owns a pub.
competition before was between 2 - now it'll be between a few big guys and heaps of little guys - beware the upcoming pokies advertising blitz.

dont even think about getting good service from any pokies venue in victoria before 2012, and certainly not before the decision in 2010.
