i dont totally disagree with you, however the heading of the announcement, including inverted comma's - "major imminent discovery" - cmon pal, the use of those words in the context of where the company are with their exploration is disgraceful for a professional outfit.
unfortunately i have had dealings with shady management in the past, ala qtk's promise of a $380 million contract in china that failed to deliver 1 cent. i have held shares in sau for over 2 years and snu since its inception. i have met, and talked with stephen biggins at company agm's. i expected far greater professional conduct than the disgraceful ramp that was served up last friday. and yes, believing in the potential of this company for so long and having some knowledge of their hopes for how big cambodia could be did lead me to increase my holdings on the news last friday. so i am clearly bitter because i got burnt. imho however the announcement was misleading, probably mostly because the use of inverted commas and the word imminent.
i expected these kind of tactics from the likes of qtk management but not stephen biggins and sau. anyway i hope he has learnt from it and the criticism he has received makes him even more determined to come up with some real results for shareholders, we all know something big and concrete is long overdue.
