They were HCV Genotype 3 patients, but 18 patients out of 30 were withdrawn based on various reasons - see ann 30/9/15. The treatment regime was Bit 225 in combo with Interferon and Ribavirin, HCV genotype 1 had no patient withdrawals and was a success, with those two combo drugs - see March 2016 Ann.
So nothing to do with HIV (or HCV GT1 patients).
