    Couldn't agree with you more. After all we call it vertical integration and think its a smart way to do business.

    China added approx $USB154 to it's reserves last quarter, which are expected to reach $USB600-700 by EO financial year. And yes it appears it is savings as there is no evidence that there is as yet a pull-back in investment.

    From what I've read it looks like the emerging economies are financing a lot of the debt incumbent in the established economies (by buying $, treasury notes etc). What do we expect - that the emerging economies will support our high debt life-style for ever? The recent G7 conference seemed to focus on the value of the US dollar and missed the elephant...
