Something else JP mentioned about the images presenting the sections East-West; like this one:
The long, red, straight line at the bottom of the image is not exactly showing the bedrock; it is in fact the "cut line" of the existing data from the measurement.
This might show on the drilling a much deeper brine deposit in some areas.
