Last night I posted that I felt this announcement was significant - with charts -it had broken out -

Anyone who has had any experience with difficult diseases and drug studies would better understand how complex and important this work is -
As a bit of background I will share that I have participated in many human trials for new drugs - with my daughter - that was born with Cystic Fibrosis -

Over the 20 years I have hung around at hospitals-
I have witnessed a progress that is amazing - in just the last 1o years two massive research centres have been built next to
St Vincent's in Sydney and Westmead children's hospital - Research is so important and it is really happening - make no mistake -
Wonder who built them - not cheap-

A double blind study is quite important - and also to be at a human trial stage is very significant - no longer testing on animals -

Half the patients are given the real drug whilst the other half are given the placebo - it is a laborious task - months of trials -I can't say enough about the controls and appointments - checks and tests that go on-

Actually a year long was the last study we ever did - We managed to last 11 months and 23 days- Of the one year long study-  before my daughter suddenly took a turn for the worst and needed a lung transplant at 13 years of age  - you see- the human guineapigs have to usually go off their usual meds to take part in these studies - so they can be accurately measured - not a game - a lot of huge sacrifices are made - by the desperate-

The drug we were trialling is called Kalydeco - I believe it is successful - sadly my daughter can't benefit or take that drug as she is now a transplant recipient and probably a lot of other tests need to happen to establish the interaction of the drugs she now needs to stay alive -

I guess what I am trying to say is that the biotech run that we saw the last time (many years ago )was the excitement run -

It is my opinion - hope and dream that we have reached the phase where these drugs and studies can be made commercial and usable - this being closer to the real deal -

Of course nothing happens overnight - but I hope my post highlights the hurdles and gives you daytraders and insight into what will run - BIT will no doubt need to raise money to progress the work that they are doing -
It will take time - but it will also perhaps be worthwhile to follow the progress -

The SP almost doubled today - good luck to those that traded it and knew what was going on - I have just highlighted the bits that I think are important -
