The overnight news in brief:
Denmark have announced that it will ban the sale of fossil fuel cars in 2030, giving a boost to electric car sales. Source: Bloomberg 3/10/2018
So, doubtful that many Deinish new car buyers will be considering an ICE vehicle from here on in - meaning more lithium demand.
Also, Mazda has announced that it will accelerate development of EVs. From 2030 they will only produce pure electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Source: Bloomberg 3/10/2018
It is of note that Subaru and Mazda were the last major car manufacturers to commit to EVs. Not surprising when countries are, or have, made announcements that they will ban the sale of ICE vehicles in the near-ish future. Expect the domino's to continue falling in terms of the ICE ban. In which case, even hybrid cars will soon be unacceptable.
