Most of the recognised machines Like F&P and Resmed are certified to be plugged into planes and most exit row seats have a power point in them...so I normally book those and sleep like a baby.

The sleep test in the clinics at hospitals hasn't changed in all of these years. A mass of wires and electrodes connected to your head and heart monitoring as well. You do not sleep well at all I can tell you.

I have tried a few sleep apps available on IOS and they are all mostly rubbish and come with disclaimers that they are not offering medical advice etc etc.

Resmed's current machines can actually diagnose OSA, but you have to rent them for a few nights from a sleep clinic and sleep with the mask on and then return them so the memory card can be analysed and sent to your specialist so he can then refer you on.

It is a cumbersome process at best and expensive in regards to money and time consumed.
