So went to the pub and all quiet there, not surprising as night shift guys would be at work and day shift people seemed absent.
After stumbling around in the dark among dead roos (no moon tonight) I realised there was a big hill blocking the view of the coalfield so back to the Ute for a drive past Copely.
Two areas with sets of white floodlights on site but no obvious flaring but the site is huge and topography means it's impossible to view the entire coalfield from one vantage point so here is my photo.
Apologies to Creekers for the photoand will check in at the shops tomorrow arvo and see what's happening then.
