Just putting it out there and apologies if anyone has discussed this before but I suspect bully China could be behind this as well where they want to control the rare earth supply chain. Well after all its predicted to be next oil type commodity. With all this nasty trade war between US (Allies) and China, I wouldn't be surprised if they have paid Malaysia/Fuzzy some millions to stir up this controversy so that plants closes and the resources are shipped to China directly who will then have bigger control over the prices, taxes and the supply to Japan/US/Europe etc!
Will be an interesting space to watch but this controversy is like to fizz out in the coming months.
