I volunteer weekly at a play school.

Yeah, as a Grand Dad to four kids I've been through recent experience of childcare, preschool and kindy going onto school. Looked after a couple of them today with school holidays on. Took them out for lunch and a game of mini golf.

I also was involved in the preschooling of a couple of my own kids. It's not just Mums these days.

Many kids of younger ages are going to childcare centres with both parents working.
I noticed a difference in care between the childcare and more structured Kindergarten. More education than child minding.
Also some parents can't wait til their kids start Kindy because it's cheaper than childcare.
I saw some kids get picked up from kindy by childcare centre staff to be taken to a childcare centre for the rest of the day.
    Times have changed.
Do people still read books like they used to? Have electronic devices taken over?
Are all parents taking the time and effort to educate their own kids at home?
