LG Chem have just signed a deal with VW for supply of batteries from end 2019. Will LG Chem have to tap Ganfeng again for more Hyroxide?
Deal season appears to be well underway, converters and battery makers showing high levels of confidence, executing said deals along with their expansion plans, now that security of battery grade material is less of an issue. The bottlenecks down the supply chain experienced this year should start to disappear, setting up for a strong 2019, a few more ducks lining up as the sector matures.
If LG Chem need to tap Ganfeng for more Hyroxide again, that should tie in nicely with our stage 2 production ramp up from end of 2019.
