Hi Salt,
Do you think that Troy left behind 100's of thousands of tons of tailings with recoverable gold?At the time the gold price and technology may have made further recovery uneconomical.

I note that BLK extracts gold just economically at current prices from 1-2 gm per ton grade- the economics being dependent of strip ratio etc- which would be irrelevant with tailings.

It is also worth considereing the price of a smaller scale CIL plant compared to Beadle's 30 million as they have to mine low grade /high tonnage to be economical.

The "rivers of gold" may have some riparian delights in their tailings!
