Have you ever seen the dancing man? There is a famous photo of this young man dancing down Martin Place Sydney at the end of WW2. He is or was a Sydney law student and the story goes that he was dancing for joy at passing his exams not for the end of the war.
He became one of the great Australian criminal defence barristers.
The story goes that he or his family had large cattle properties in WA and refused to use motor bikes to round up their stock so that they could continue to give the aborigines work as stockmen.
I don't even know if the story is true but many of the aborigines problems started with the advent of the motorbike and it's successor the helicopter.
