A word with such an appropriate meaning for what this website is really all about, but sometimes we get lost in the heat of the moment and banter gets thrown out the window and replaced with something else.

I think @airconditioner expressed it best in his post to you @The Dean

There wasn't a dry eye on this side of my screen.

...and my hands were tied and I was unable to expressed my apologies for what I said to you.

But here I am and... well... I'm really caught for words.

I've thought thousands of times how I might be able to reach out to you and express my sincerest regret for what I said.

Particularly on the statement I made along the lines of if you were not here.

You don't know me, and I certainly don't know you at all other than the posts you write

There is no telling how the words that someone writes on here might affect someone and in this particular case what it might have done to you.

But that doesn't matter as it simply should not have been said and for that I am remorseful for what I wrote.

    - I am sorry!

Hot Copper offers numerous reasons to be here and to contribute, and we are not always going to agree. When we don't, it's not only an opportunity for us to learn from each other, but also practice a little diplomacy.

There are users that come online to be able to ramp up their stocks with rockets and all the gear, those that want to just frighten other investors into selling, or vent their own frustration at a stock which...yeah, I've done that too. I'm absolutely human.

One of the main reasons I think we all turn up here to like a few posts, throw a few lightbulbs around the place and offer a bit of commentary is the aspect of companionship.

Sharing with others that might give us a little confidence in our investment decision....and break the loneliness of what in our day to day may generally not involve other people with the same passion as what everyone else has on this site.

I've found that by contributing here I have been fortunate to come into contact outside of this forum with some incredibly insightful and knowledgeable people. The type that you really need that phone call or catch up over a coffee to be able to share the information within. 1 hour becomes 5, just like a simple post like this one becomes an essay.

To think that once upon a time all we had was the newspaper to keep abreast of our investments and never the opportunity to come into contact with others that share the same appreciation.

During my time off, I noticed remarks of Thesi being a girl. I'm sorry to to disappoint, but I am not.

Whilst it was always quite well known that I wasn't and probably the worst kept secret ever. It was always facinating to hear what people thought Thesi might be like in person.

There's no doubt that my chosen avatar and my somewhat ludicrous sense of humour might have stoked that fire so it was suggested that I change my avatar...

Maybe this one is more appropriate?

However I don't think I have settled just yet...

With that said though, anyone that has been reading my posts over the years will probably realise that I didn't set up camp on the forums to be some dude pretending to be a girl.

I came here to learn and share... To kick the ball around and see what others think.

It is difficult not to become a little disheartened when the forum (any for that matter) falls into conversation as to if the share price will go up a cent or two.

My approach has always been about the possibilities that the company has, and I'm surprised that they don't get spoken about more regularly.

@airconditioner in the above post touched on the IPO of FMC lithium being spun off to Livent LTHM whilst raising US$480 million.

Dont forget the US$400 million line of credit that FMC will be extending to them also Mr AC.

That's quite alot of cash pooled together all in the same location innit?

FMC haven't done much to expand their operations over the years. They started up Fenix next door to Sal De Vida and that was it...

They rely on buying raw materials on the market to be able to fullfil their hydroxide growth strategy, and reading the IPO document they appear to have a small problem of having enough fresh water available for their expansion plans.

Galaxy has plenty of fresh water as well as the obvious 40 year plus mine life next door.

Anthony Tse has mentioned that via the JP Morgan transaction there will be a small stake sold in Sal De Vida. Could that stake be purchased by Livent to be able to expand their operations?

Or will a battery manufacturer turn up to secure supply for their ever expanding demand?

Either way, I just hope to see the POSCO transaction completes soon to bring some smiley happy faces around here which hopefully will kick this share price upwards.

I think you're right AC, that anyone doing their due diligence into Livent's IPO will have spotted Galaxy sitting at such a cheap price by comparison to Livent's $18+ per share.

I'd like to see a few things happen over the following months..

I was disappointed to find out that the company never went through with their plans for tolling.
Anthony in the earnings call pointed to working with partners to become involved down stream with a converter. - I'd like to hear more news about this.

The company needs to start talking about their plans to build SDV. The delays are possibly why the share price is being punished, so a nicely laid out announcement explaining what when how and why is going to happen at Sal De Vida should provide a lift.

I liked the posts by yourself AC & @Guanxi when it came to rewarding share holders.
You both present some options that are worthwhile for the board to consider. With either options or using bank interest to offer dividends. Others I have spoken with during exile are hoping for a special dividend.

Discussing the choice of options has quite a number of benefits, being of little to no cost to the company yet a nice reward down the track to continue whatever task they are devoting themselves to then.

Issuing dividends from bank interest is also a good choice, though the question would be how much? And not being a special dividend someone else mentioned on here that it might bring about the expectation of occuring on a regular basis.

Another one that often comes up is a share buy back which if the company genuinely believes that the share price is lower than it should be, maybe they could consider reacquiring some shares, even simply using the profits from Mt Cattlin to do so.

But... I would like to see something provided to the share holders, as going back over the past year we are down 15% whilst other companies have gone up... management have received over the past 2 years some healthy rewards.

We don't know what is going on behind the curtain, but hopefully whilst they are working behind it they don't forget the investors.

    41 days and no announcement.

Please don't forget to keep us informed GXY.
